SEVEN LAYER SALAD
Use one head of lettuce, broken up, to line a 9 x 13 inch pan. Layer
2 to 3 stalks of celery, chopped fine, on top of the lettuce. For the
next layers, add ½ cup onion, chopped fine, 1 green pepper chopped
fine, and 1 package of frozen peas (still frozen.) Spread 1 to 1½
cups mayo, mixed with ¼ to ½ cup sugar over the top.
For garnish, ½ cup grated cheddar cheese along with 4 to 6 pieces of
crisped bacon crumbled. Cover and let stand in refrigerator
overnight.
