Anyone read this wonderful book by Yasmin Crowther?  I finished it last night.  The first few pages were confusing but it got much better after that.  It's a mother/daughter story.  The mother is an Iranian immigrant who settles in England after her family kicks her out.  But her daughter and husband know nothing of her past.  Everything is thrown upside down when her nephew comes to live with them after his mother dies.

Great story and beautifully written!  Crowther really makes you feel like you are in that small Iranian village going through the same experiences as the character.

This was a wonderful book!  Well written; gives you the flavor of Iran, etc..  I will read more by this author!  Marian

I've been pretty interested in Persian culture for the last few years - have read a variety of memoirs and fictional works... I'm on the WL for this book, as well. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
