Often in times of stress acts of courage and generosity appear spontaneously.   Particularly at this time of year it is important to note that in spite of economic woes and an unpopular war there are many, many people willing to extend themselves to others. I give thanks to those generous souls who guard our nation, who protect our liberties and who succor our unfortunates.
