Ok, this is a new one on me. I posted a series of books. Last night I received a request for 2 of them from one person. At least that's what it looked like intially. I have all the books, they are in great condition and I clicked on Yes, I can send. Then I went on to print my wrapper and realized that both requests were for the same book! How could somebody ask for the same book twice from the same person? I couldn't have posted it twice. I cancelled the second request, tried printing my wrapper and then of course, just to make things interesting, I lost my connection.

When I finally got back online, I was able to print the wrapper (I think I may have paid for it twice, but it's printed and the book is in the mail) and I pm'd the requestor to explain why I cancelled the second request. Of course, i crashed again right after that.

But how could something like that happen? Color me confused.

I'd call it a glitch. Sometimes books post double. I've seen 2 show up on my shelf when I only listed one. I suppose it could happen with requests also. Maybe the system "hiccups", maybe I accidentally hit send again while the request is still processing.

I'm not sure I'd even PM the requestor... I wouldn't assume they saw it requested twice, just because it showed that way to me. I'd just send one, cancel the other, and explain later if the requestor brings it up.

Yes- PM the requestor!  Depending on the glitch your cancellation may trigger the system rolling the order on to the next person.  So make sure they cancel any new transaction!  Somebody was mentioning this happening the other day!

I showed up as 2 requests and the print label said print bulk label until I cancelled 1. It's also showing up in my transaction archive as a cancelled request. And too late not to PM the requestor as I already did. Just a nice note saying that I didn't own 2 copies and I was sending the 1.

Just thought to double check my bookshelf to make sure it didn't show that I had another copy. It's not there so all is well. With the computer going down last night I never thought of that.
