Samurai Game
In a world so dark and seductive, expect nothing less than a triple-cross in the explosive all-new Ghostwalker novel by #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan…
In an underground club, a high-ranking public official spends his secret nights indulging in fantasies as exciting as they are depraved. For a seductive employee of the Dungeon, it’s her job to fulfill them. But she’s playing a far more dangerous game—one of blackmail, politics, and murder that reaches into the shadow world of the Ghostwalkers, and the creation of a spectacular, one-of-a-kind new weapon of defense. But when a dictator makes his own catastrophic moves, the Ghostwalkers have no choice but to bring in two major players—a man and woman both driven by passion and revenge. Both expendable. Both with nothing left to lose. Last Edited on: 7/15/12 9:08 PM ET - Total times edited: 2 |

Anyone else already finished this? Thoughts? (Note, since this is intended to be a discussion, this thread could contain spoilers.) I liked it. A few bits were repetitive but I enjoyed both the main characters. Your thoughts? |

I have not read it. On my WL. I am contemplating deleting it. The last few Feehan books have not grabbed me and seemed tired. |

I really enjoyed it. |

YAY - someone to talk to! Warning - possible spoiler alert as I hope to discuss the book. Keri - I liked it to. The characters were really interesting. The only parts I had a little trouble with was her constant internal mantra about being a "Samurai". That got old. The other part I didn't really get was after the initial attack and Sam was hurt and being cared for. During the attack, he conveyed information about her telepathically to the other Ghostwalkers, including that she was a teleporter. But then they put in her a bedroom with a guard in front of the closed door at night and are later astonished that she got out. What exactly did they expect? Also, this is essentially a military operation and they've just been savagely attacked. Yet they wait until Sam is on the mend (a week, I think) to question Azami. What were they all doing every day/all day? Seems rather laid back.. I saw some other reviews, including those of Japanese descent, who really took exemption to Akami calling him "Sammy". They said it just wasn't in character for the relatively-formal behavior. I did sort of find it silly. But on the bright side, I really liked Akami and all her skills - particularly her weapons specialties and her calm and confidence during battle. Your thoughts? I guess those were weak points to the book, but I was just enjoying it. While this wasn't my absolute fav of the series, it was s strong entry in comparison to the others in the series. What I got sick was the last 1/4 of the book CF pulls her usual trick with uping her word count by repeat phrasing...drives me insane. She is famous for that though. The ending didn't feel complete and I felt like it ended mid-scene. I was interested though in her brothers and thought they would be interesting to write about. |

I thought the same things! 1) the ending seemed hurried and 2) I'd like to read more about the brothers. Overall, I did enjoy the book. I always like learning more about the ghost walkers. And it was fun to have a glimpe into Daniel's development (Whitney and Ryland's son). |

Yes that was fun about hearing about Daniel and what he was capable of...what a little stinker he is. |
