I really, really loved this story although I do doubt that it went the exact direction Jane Austen would have taken; Only the first 11 chapters were penned by Austen before she died. The remainder of the book was completed by "Another Lady." Very well done; It is difficult to tell where Austen leaves off and Another Lady picks up. The story is full of playful dialogue, intrigue, and very flawed characters for you to laugh over. The heroine, Charlotte is much in line with Elizabeth Bennett of P&P as she is full of commonsense but also quick wit and intelligence. The conversations between her and Mr. Sidney Parker are delightful and keep you turning the pages to see how it will turn out. The surprising twist toward the end with an elopment and an abduction are great. Highly recommended.
