Book One of Deb Ralston series. I had to read this one in one sitting. Starting on page one and continuing until the end of the book, this story was just too good to put down. Trying to understand a New Year's eve family's murder case, with the supposed crazed killer on site was hard enough for inspector Ralston. Even with her women's intuition and her motherly compassion, it was all she could do not to admit he was the likely murderer. Deb Ralston doesn't hold back trying to solve this terrible tragedy to try and keep the suspect from being convicted of the crime and the deathly lethal injection if he's found guilty.
