A spoiled rich girl has to learn about "real" life after her father loses his fortune due to bad investments. She must learn to work and most of all to respect all people no matter their station in life or their backgrounds. A wonderful story set along the Santa Fe trail.

Historical novel with some romance set in Arkansas and along the Santa Fe trail. I enjoyed it.
