I found a post by you seeking books along the lines of survival.  There is one that comes to mind that is called

"Earth Ebides"  by George    I do not know his last name.  Hope this helps

I also seek and collect the survival type Man/Woman against nature type of stories.

Any and all suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks for the recommendation. I looked it up and that would be Earth Abides by George R. Stewart. It has great reviews so I'm gonna have to try it out.

As far as suggestions I may have...have you tried Amazonia by James Rollins? Exploration and survival in the Amazon. A pharmasutical research team goes in and never comes out. Then years later one the them stumbles into a small town with both his arms, which is strange because when he went into the jungle he only had one (was a war injury), only the man dies before they can get any info from him. There's some unlikely things in it (kinda like an Indiana Jones storyline but with military guys included) but it's really good. It's one of my favorite books.

I just read a romance called Up Close and Dangerous by Linda Howard. A man and woman in a plane crash that have to survive in the mountains and await rescue that they aren't sure is coming. It was pretty good, nothing deep or thought-provoking, but a entertaining read.

If you like survival-type fiction you might like prehistoric fiction (I enjoy it, anyway). Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean Auel comes to mind and I've got some by Kathleen and Michael Gear and Sue Harrison in my TBR pile. I've also read a few by William Sarabande.
