I've found that lately I just don't have a lot of time.   It's inevitable that birthdays come around or I need to get my kids books for school (of course if one can't be found here at paperbackswap!) and it's easy to get stressed out with all the economic strain lately.  I've come to the conclusion that online price comparison shopping is really convenient for me.   It's amazing that I've found many products that were so much cheaper online than if I went to the actual store!    Am I the only one that feels this way?   I think comparison shopping is vital for today!    There's so many websites out there that offer a lot of items and there's websites that you can have many stores' prices already there so you don't have to try to find individual stores yourself.   I was lucky to find a site called qpricing.com    Just in time, too!   More birthdays on the way!!!!!!   See if you like it:  http://www.qpricing.com

I've found it depends on what I'm buyng - sometimes the shipping offsets the bargain..Id id come out ahead christmas shopping - I had a B&N giftcard for $25 and a 40% off coupon and wanted to get my brother a book that was $50 - turned out online it was only $30 something so I went through ebates and used the coupon and got enough for free shipping and used my discovercard for another 1% cashback. got a MUCH better deal. also bought through leapfrog.com using ebates and discovercard and searched online for a better coupon code as well.

haven't heard of qpricing.

Dodi -- I agree -- it really pays off to comparison shop and price check and online it's quick and easy.   I have found that I can usually find things cheaper online especially thru Amazon -- and other places where you can get free shipping.     And I have found that no matter what it is we need I can do quick research as to the best price for like items by searching online.   My husband was amazed when we bought our refrigerator because I knew exactly what we were getting and how much it was from comparison pricing them online.   On that purchase Conn's was the lowest price for the one we wanted.    It's so much better too to do my "thinking" at home.    Once you get in the store all the shiny things and the claims the salespeople make are very distracting.     LOL

And with me my main issue is lots of time, not so much money.  So we absolutely have to get the best possible price.   Recently, when we needed a lawn mower I got one off Craigslist but not from searching for a posted one -- by posting that we needed a lawnmower cheap.  I had 3 people respond and we got the one that was best suited for us and it was $50 -- turned out to be a lady whose Dad upgraded her lawnmower so she was stuck with a push mower she didn't need.    Lucky for us.   LOL
