We just spent way too much money and the entire evening at a local Melting Pot (fondue restaurant).  "We" being me, my DP (with her hair growing back and about 3/4 inch long now!), my daughter and her sweetie.  We had gone to, I thought, a more conservative part of the state.   We live in Indiana. .  Across from us was a young couple.  She and she were adorable--probably mid-20's.  And as the evening progressed, "A" had a plate delivered to "B" on which the kitchen staff had written in chocolate, "Will you marry me?"   DP could see it clearly when she stood up to go to the restroom.

I'm sure they didn't realize we two old broads were a couple of aging dykes.  (Although with DP's short, short hair, maybe! LOL)  Before they left I called to the proposer, "Did she say yes?" and she looked a little startled but grinned and said "yes."  We all said, "Congratulations!"

The world it is a'changin'...  Nice to see.  Made me smile and I wanted to share with you guys.

Sharon

Awwww, that gave me goosebumps.  And it's good to hear that your DP is doing well.  How cool that you both were able to witness that young couples proposal?!?

That gave me chills!!!

Greta surprised me by taking me to The Melting Pot the night that she proposed.  A bunch of our friends were waiting there to celebrate with us so that restaurant defnitely holds a special place in my heart:)
