I tend to send out 10+ books at a time.  The PO has started giving me a hard time that I must have a scan sheet.  I keep explaining that there isn't one and that, yes, while I am sorry they have to hand scan each book I don't see any way around it.

Does anyone know of a way to make a scan sheet via PBS?

Sounds like a business thing.  Maybe they assume you are mailing for work or own your own busines, instead of a member of a book swap club?

I have a very efficient (awesome) PO, and I've never been asked for a scan sheet.

Ask your local staff what it is and ask them to explain in detail, maybe a better understanding of what and why they are asking?

We have several members that are USPS employees, hopefully one will stop in soon and shed some light on this request!

I have encountered this before, at one particular branch, (that I no longer frequent). After the second time I brought a large volume of PBS packages, the clerk told me that in the future I would need a scan form. I was later told by a postmaster at another branch that a SCAN Form, either 3152 or 5630, is never a requirement for a non-business customer - especially if printable postage is not used. OTOH, she did tell me that if printable postage is used and the branch is particularly busy, that using  a SCAN form can be a tremendous time-saver for them, since the clerk could make one scan instead of several. I believe that the operative words here are "never a requirement".

My new PO asks me for a SCAN form when possible but they don't give me a hard time if I don't. PBS probably does not have it as an option, usually people aren't sending a ton of books at once.

"usually people aren't sending a ton of books at once"

For whatever reasons, the parcel count for my weekly trip to the post office has increased significantly over the past couple of months. I've gone from 2-5 PBS parcels per trip to 10+ every week. (This is in addition to anywhere from 1 to 10 eBay parcels.) I'm not sure why, but I've mailed out about 60 books in the 5 or 6 weeks alone. I'm not really complaining, but it is kind of odd. Perhaps folks are stocking up for summer vacation trip(s)...?

Although other sites (like eBay and PayPal) have a mechanism to do it, as far as *I* know, there is no way to generate a SCAN Form from within PBS.
