England, Turn of the century
I think this is #2 in the series.
I read the first and put my name on the waiting list for this book right after I finished it. I accidentally bought it even though I had worked my way up to number 3, so I may have really wanted this book to be great:)
It was good. I actually finished it a week and a half ago, but had to go back through the book to remember what it was about. So I would say that although I liked it, nothing stands out as fantastic.
The hero is searching for a perfect wife when he is constantly reminded of the lady he can't forget. The heroine is modern, a bit racy, and outrageous. Though we do find out the reason for this, I just couldn't get myself to invest in her personality.
The ending was a bit abrupt for me, but it was happily ever after so I'll give it credit for that. And the hero was worth the book.
