This book was not what I was expecting. In my head I envisioned a large coffee-table book with perhaps 30 pages at most. What I got what a tiny dense tome (difficult to browse through) with hundreds and hundreds of photos in it. No editorial work was done to pare down the collection and the images lose impact accordingly.

After a couple dozen photos of terrified children, the book ceases to be funny and is simply disturbing and mildly sadistic. Forcing children to sit on the lap of a weird-looking stranger is an unsavoury custom in our society, and one I'm glad I was not subjected to.

The book also contains a puzzling amount of writing, which shows that the authors really didn't have much of an idea what they were trying to present or how to do it effectively.

Not worthwhile.
