A great little story which takes place at the same time as the battles of Rorke's Drift and Isandlwana. Kilworth does a good job of incorporating his hero into both and the history of the Zulu War campaign. All the while "Ensign Early" is investigating crimes. Kilworth's characters are well rounded and for those who enjoyed his "Jack Crossman" series, some more news about the characters in that series is provided at the end.
