I just finished this book and loved it! I got a little mad and cried and smiled, because I know people just like these. This book had me praying for my friend who's pain is very real and needs to learn about true forgiveness.

Loved this book! I enjoy reading about small town life. I couldn't put this one down. It drew me in from the start!

I loved this novel. I loved Samuel, he broke my heart. I loved Annie, so talented and so lonely. I loved her neighbors and her family. But I really loved Ginny. She is the one who hooked me from page one. This is the story of time, life, love and Gods work. Every moment spent with these pages was wonderful.

As a mom to nine, I didn't know if I could read this book, but my oldest (21) read it first and deamed it excellant. Where is our faith when life deals its cruelest blow? Story is filled with believable, like-able characters. Although it is modern fiction, included are earlier generations, small town life and other story lines that contribute to make it an enjoyable read for those of us who don't usually read modern fiction.
All in all, a very good read, could stand up to secular authors and passed the two generation test.

Grabs you right from the start and is hard to put down. The author deals with real problems and shows how the characters wander because of lack of faith.

This is a beautiful story of loss--the loss of a child, the loss of a marriage, the loss of a medical practice--& how God steps in & brings love & healing & wholeness to the lives involved. It begins & ends with the prayers of a little old lady who doesn't even know the people involved but by the Spirit's guidance she is led to pray for 5 long years until her prayers are answered mightily. For anyone who enjoys seeing God's working inspite of stubborn people, even in fiction, this is a book you will enjoy.

A beautiful story of God working in the lives of a couple who are in the midst of several tragedies, including the loss of a child.
