Hi, I have on my bookshelf mostly sci-fi:

Orion Shall Rise (Poul Anderson): post-apocalyptic story.

Star Trek #56 "Legacy": Kirk faces an old adversary from Capt. Pike's day.

The Creatures of Man (Howard Myers): short stories interconnected in the same universe.

Edge of Tomorrow (hard to find essays by Isaac Asimov),

Octagon (Fred Saberhagen): A play by mail game turns to murder. When a character is killed, the actual player running the character dies, but why?

Planet of No Return (Harry Harrison): good old 50's style sci fi. Main ctrs are trapped on a planet full of war machines and try to escape.

Also:

Blood Music (Greg Bear): an engineered virus turns everyone into sheets or organic matter, that becomes intelligent!

Prey (Michael Crichton): nanobots get out of a lab and threaten human extinction.
