If you love thrillers narrated in the first person by the most knowledgeable and skilled agent of any series of books, you should read The Scorpion Signal, but only after you start with the inaugural book, The Quiller Memorandum, and read in order. Or just read this one first to get started, but start! I have read them all many times over the last 40 years. He puts James Bond to shame and makes me wonder but also feel relief that no more movies have been made with Quiller, as they would not live up to the books. The first book was made into a movie. Don't bother, if you love Quiller like I do. He likes women too, but more so, he respects them while he's loving them.
