When Therese married Principe Claudio Scorsolini, she did as a duty to the country. When Principe Claudio married Therese he did it because she was perfect to fulfill the role of a princess and provide him with a heir to the throne. But as always fate intervenes and even though Therese falls in love with her "convenient" husband she has been keeping a secret from him that can cost them their marriage, and her happiness. When she discovers she cant bear any children she wants to end their marriage and save him the humiliation his brother suffered. Principe Claudio doesn't know what had he done to make his dutiful lovely bride reject him constantly, then he learns of her secret and decides to teach her that they belong together against all odds. In this Royal family loyalty, love and passion are important. Lucy Monroe once again writes an emotional tear jerking wonderful story based on real life situations that can doom a relationship to end. She gives her characters the strength to fight tooth and nail and achieve the understanding that leads where true love shines to give us the happily ever after!

this author always holds my attention! this was a touching story and part three in the royal brides series by Lucy Monroe, you met these charaters in books 1 and 2 and if you were like me, you were looking forward to their story!

here is a summary: Prince Caludio and his wife of three years Therese have a marriage in trouble. She has been keeping a medical condition from him that means she may not be able to give him any heirs. She is in love with him and knows this is the end of their marriage. After all, producing a royal heir was part of the bargain when they arranged their marriage of convenience. She knows he doesn't love her and doesn't think he will mind when she asks for a divorce, especially when he finds out the real reason she wants the divorce.... but his reaction is not what she expects!

Principe Claudio Scorsolini's future wife must make a suitable figurehead for his people and provide him with an heir. Claudio's convenient union with Therese
is hailed a success: his subjects have fallen in love with her and she's performed her duties in the bedroom to Claudio's immense satisfaction.

However, Therese has secretly fallen in love with her husband. How can their marriage survive when she knows she can never give Claudio a child?

Final installment in great trilogy. Can an arranged royal marriage overcome misunderstandings? Good read with lots of emotional pull.

I'm not usually a fan of the Presents line, but I read this when I was traveling in Scotland and desperate to read something. I was sucked in by the Scorsolini family. They're very arrogant but when they fall, they fall extremely hard. Make sure you read the others in the series: The Prince's Virgin Wife (Tomasso & Maggie) and His Royal Love-Child (Marcello & Danette). They're all pretty good reads.

This was a really good book about communication or rather the lack of.

Two typos/editing issues.
