If you liked Agatha Christie, Ruth Rendel and PD James what other mystery authors would you like?  A dear friend of mine was just diagnosed with colon and liver cancer and I would love to purchase some audio books for him.  Thanks.

I have Blood Work, A Darkness More Than Night, The Closers, by Michael Connelly, one of my favorite authors. Also,

Last Car to the Elysian Fields by James Lee Burke.

Best wishes to your friend.

Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, Patricia Wentworth's Miss Silver, Ngaio Marsh's Roderick Alleyn and Dorothy Sayer's Peter Wimsey mysteries would all fit into the same catagories as the authors you mentioned. Also,  two favorite authors, Elizabeth George and Deborah Crombie.

If there is a Borders near you check it out because most are having summer blow-out sales and they have a bunch of audio books on sale for $5.99. (Also books, both HC & PB for $5.99/$3.99).

Best thoughts for your friend to regain his health.

Philip Margolin and Joseph Finder both have great audiobooks out.  The narration is just outstanding on those two.  Jason Priestly does the Finder books, and his voice really draws you into the story.

I have some on  my bookshelf that you may want. Take a look and see if they may help. God bless. I will ship out the day after you order so they should get there pretty quickly.
