Hi there.  Is there any way to search for books that are written in French?  If I do a keyword search with 'French', I get thoursands of books that are about France, French dictionaries, authors with the last name French, etc., but they are all in English.  I didn't see a 'Language' field in the Advance Search option.

Or maybe there just aren't any books posted that are written in French.  Which would make sense I guess.  I'm just hoping!!  Another thing that probably doesn't help is that I don't have any titles.  I am learning French (fairly advanced) and just thought it would be nice to pick up a few novels to take a stab at.

Thanks in advance for any help!  :)

Angela, I posted a couple of books in French that I found at a thrift store, and I was told to follow the title with (French Language).  So, maybe if you put that phrase in the title field others will be posted that way.

I don't think there is any way to search by language, but maybe you can find a site that lists some french books with their ISBNs.  I know you can search that way...  Or, if you're not too picky about what the books are, why not post in the Book Bazaar and see if anyone has any on their shelf?

Another suggestion - try BookMooch.  I would never recommend another book trading site over PBS (cause it really is the best), but BM has members that trade all over the world so I'm thinking you might have better luck there on this particular request.

There is a Foreign Language Forum down below in the topics section... many of us who post foreign language books try to list titles there.  People seeking also post there, plus there are tips to help you search.  :)

Just a suggestion:

I read a lot of manga, and many of these come in Japanese language.  I've been tagging these with a "Japanese text" tag, so you might want to search the tags.  Maybe someone has been tagging them "French text" or "French language".  Worth a try.  Maybe you could also tag the ones you know are French text so others will be able to find them as well...

I searched for keyword "francais" and among the dictionaries and school texts, I found that someone has kindly tagged 77 books as "en francais". Here's a link, that will hopefully work to take you to those search results: http://www.paperbackswap.com/tags/index.php?type_id=1&tag_id=12433&l=100

Once you've got that list, go through the book details and click on the publishers' names to get even more. Here's the list from Pocket (FR): http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/browse_advanced.php?p=Pocket+%28FR%29

There's also a "french language" tag I've been using when I find french books to post (and german language, and spanish language, etc.)
