I hope I'm just missing it, but is there a way to search my transaction archive?

I share my account with my mom. There are books that I would like, but I don't know if it is possible she has requested them and has a copy. If I could search the transaction archive, I'd know if either one of us received a copy.

You could always just run a search for the books. In the book listing it'll mention if it's on your Wishlist, Reminder List, Bookshelf, TBR, BIR, or Transaction Archive.

It looks like the only search you can do in the transaction archive is title search or author search.

Charles, how do you do that?  I have never been able to figure out how to search for title or author within the TA.  I would love to know how to do that.

Added for clarification:  You can sort by title or author, I don't see a way to search by title or author.  I want to search, not sort.  Starman's method in the post below is as close as I've ever come to finding a way to do a search - clumsy and time-consuming but it sometimes can find what I'm looking for.

Dena,

If you, or your mother, has ordered a book and received it, then it should have been added to your TBR File - it'll stay there until you remove it by either adding it to your 'Books I've Read' pile or if you select it and use the 'post this book' function (in which PBS removes it from your TBR Pile and adds it to your bookshelf).

To search your TBR Pile go to:

My Account -> My Lists - > TBR File

then just select "Search' and add whatever search parameter you like into the search box presented - Author 1st Name, Last Name, Part of a Title, Full Title, ISBN or anything else you might want to search by - Good Luck!

PBS has not yet implemented a search function for the Transaction Archive. This is a feature I would also love to see. Anyone who feels strongly about this can send feedback to the Team (via "Contact Us" under the Company heading at the bottom of any PBS page) and let them know that you would find this capability useful.

Books are added to a member's TBR pile only if he/she leaves the box checked for that option when marking a book received.  I think this is a great feature and use it for every book received, but some members manage their books in other ways and don't have them added to their TBR list.
