When I was quite small I read a book about a young boy who had an adventure inside a mechanical pachyderm.....It was so very long ago that I cannot remember the title of the book. I was telling a child of a friend all I could remember of it and she seemed enthralled....so I thought perhaps someone here had read it at one time or heard of it.  Thanks!
