Dear PBS friends,

My hairdresser called today because she knows I'm a book-ie...she has lost a children's book that she put out every Christmas.  Does not know the title or author, but says it about a polar bear who has a vine caught around its neck.  He dives into the water to try and get rid of it, and ice forms on it, turning it into an icicle ...does anyone recognize this start of the book?  Does anyone know the title?

I realize you posted this over a month ago, but I'm a new member....-

Have you tried www.abebooks.com (then check the 'Book Sleuth' section) -- you have to register to use it, but I've been a member for a long time and haven't gotten any spam as a result (and have bought books there as well).  Be as specific as possible with your info, and put 'polar bear with icicle necklace' or something similar in the title.
