The bass player for the greatest improvisational band in American history tells the full, true story of his life, Jerry Garcia, and the Grateful Dead.
An interesting read if you are a Grateful Dead fan!

A very intimate look into life within the Grateful Dead. Phil gives some closely personal stories and thoughts about his life during a tumultuous time and his insights into Jerry and the band must be rare looks behind the scenes. I think Phil was easily the most devoted Grateful Dead member and its his love for the music and the band that really shine through.
