The adventurous author has visited and chronicled the East Coastal towns, waters, and people near the ocean - during the winter months! Traveling south to north, the weather worsening mile by mile, he writes of his adventures in thoughtful prose. I liked this book a lot.

The author moseys up the Atlantic coast in the off-season, looking for the "local" experience and the flavor of living in small coastal towns. He finds small adventures, colorful people, and, of course, some sense of himself.
