I found this book boring from the beginning & kept asking myself why I was continuing to torture myself. But I wanted to find out who Lillian Dawes was. Parts of the story line were interesting & funny, not sure there was enough to make it worth your while. Gabriel is sent to NY to live with his older brother after being expelled from boarding school. They both end up meeting a mysterious woman, Lillian Dawes. No one can figure out much about her. It did have an interesting twist when we finally discovered who Lillian is. But the end also left us hanging, & we never do get the full story how everything turns out.
