DH says this one is "rougher" than most of Patterson's books. Murder and mayhem ... all wrapped up in a good story.

This is one of James Patterson's earlier books. It is a pretty good read, but I have to admit I did not enjoy it as much as his more recent books. It is worth a read though.

I love James Patterson, and decided to read his early, early publications. I was very disappointed in this one as it I just couldn't get into it.

This is an early James Patterson book. Secret government plot to create terror, confusion and collapse through random slaughter of innocent people.

This is one of Patterson's earliest works, which is why some reviewers claim "it's not like the Patterson I'm used to". Personally, I think Patterson has gotten way too formulaic in his writing, seemingly seeking to put out MORE books each year (for the money!) than put out BETTER books each year. This early story is gritty and pure thriller, and well worth the read. I like Patterson and wish he hadn't lost the edge he demonstrates in this book.

Very fast-paced, filled with drama...if you're into James Patterson, this is right on a par with his other books, and you will be satisfied with it.

A well-written, spine-chilling tale, all too logical in outlook and outcome, particularly in the light of recent political events
