I absolutely LOVE this book. I have always been drawn to living closer to the earth and Cliff and his family have shown that it can be done. He tells the story of a year in the life of his family living a simple existence on a magical plot of land. The triumphs and challenges. How the spirits of the land have touched their lives. The magic and beauty of nature. Showing that if you treat our earth with love and respect she will take care of you, from Grandfather Apple and the Green Man to the various fey of the forest and home. Cliff Seruntine has inspired me to be a better steward of the land and to reconnect with the spirits, elements and spiral of life that is around me. I will reread this each month as the year unfolds to let his thoughtful words seep deeper into my soul.
