I requested a ton of books in a series and have recieved most of them. Someone sent me one of the books, along with a second book included in the package, and a hand written notation on the paper that you put with your book that names the sender and receiver, in hand writing she added in the second book I thanked her for the freebie and heard back from her that it was not a freebie, but a request I made. I checked through my transaction arhive and yes I made a request for the second book, but it's coming from someone else. I felt terrible and I assume that this screw up was my fault so I sent out a buddy credit . I haven't heard back from her and I'm wondering if I should have done something different/better? Noew I'm going to be stuck with 2 of the same books. *ach*
Will I get a mark against me for this? DID I do something wrong?
How can I stop this from happening again (besides not ordering so many books at once time). |

I wouldn't have buddied the credit until I investigated more. It's possible that she forgot to mark the 2nd book mailed and then the request was passed on to someone else. This would be her fault and not yours. It doesn't always put books on a bulk order. I think it'll show in your transaction archive if the book timed out and passed on to someone else. If not, you could contact PBS and ask if that's what happened. You might not get the credit back. If you end up with 2 of the books: you can't have 2 on yourshelf at the same time, so I would post one right away and hopefully you'll get a request for it soon. |

Right - check your transaction archive as Mary suggested and see if this book was ever requested from her. If you can post any additional information from your archive, we can better advise you on what to do/what you should have done. |

I would bet she printed the label on the first one and packaged them together, never printed/marked mailed the second one, causing FIFO to move your order on. Check your archives and if she did cause the problem, send her a polite PM letting her know what happened so she won't do the same thing in the future. |
