Has anyone read Jane Green's book Second Chance? I just finished it, and it was completely different than any of her other books I've read (Straight Talking, Jemima J, To Have and To Hold, The Other Woman, and Swapping Lives). I was a little disappointed that it wasn't  chick lit like her other books, but I still thought it was pretty good.  Has anyone read The Beach House, her newest release? I was wondering if it was anything like her older books or more like Second Chance?

I haven't read Second Chance, but I did read The Beach House. The Beach House wasn't really chick lit, but I did enjoy it. It was probably the most complex book of hers, because it had about 10 different main characters, but I thought it was very well done.

I read both and yes her style of writing has changed; flourished.  I think Beach House was more fictional, not tied to real life because of the way she tied the whole story up at the end.  I enjoyed it but not as much as her marriage books.

I just picked up The Beach House at the library today, so it's on my TBR list now.
