I first read this book when I was about 12 in 1976. I thought it was a very well-written book and I've read it several times since then. This is exactly the type of book that would make a Lifetime TV movie. Beth goes to a small town to run the cave and inn left to her by her parents. Once there, she encounters hostility from the family that has managed the inn for years. She meets a handsome local man as well as an old crone who practices magic, both of whom help her to unlock the secret of the cave. The plot of this book isn't especially deep and the suspense is light, but it's still a fun mystery that will hold your attention.
