Very interesting book, best described as a marine biology/ earth science text book with a science fiction plot. Best part is the artwork, which is wonderful. The plot and dialogue will not win awards but as a vehicle to learn about a lot about life under the sea, they work. Over all, a unique volume that teaches as it entertains.
