Good romance. I usually think highly of Thorndike and the excellent large print books they put out, but this cover annoyed me so much that it kept me from enjoying the story 100%. I am someone who doesn't care to read the cover notes as sometimes they tell more of the story than I want to know in advance. The cover photo on this book is ridiculous. The author has a degree in history and does historic romance very well, so why did she allow the publisher to put out her story which takes place in the early 1800's with a modern cover that has nothing to do with the period of history it depicts. They should give the person doing the illustrating or choosing the cover art at least a small description of what the story is about.
