When sixteen-year-old Evan Meade comes home two hours past his curfew, he figures he's going to be in big trouble with his stepfather, Paul Knox. Instead, he finds a man putting a bullet in Paul's head. Evan flees with the killer on his heels. Private Investigator Lance Kruger receives a call from Evan's mother, desperate for Lance to find her missing son. Lance, along with Defense Attorney Morgan Dane, knows the police believe that Evan killed his stepfather. They want to find Evan before the killer finds him.

This is another excellent addition to the Morgan Dane series. As usual in this series, the cops have made up their minds about the situation. They believe Evan killed his stepfather and was injured fleeing the scene. It's up to Lance and Morgan with the help of Lincoln Sharp, to figure out exactly what happened. Another unexpected murder leads Lance to believe that the killer is hunting for Evan.

This story was fast paced and believable. Many secrets come to light that help us figure out who is behind the murders. I enjoyed this story very much. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
