This is not as much as a romance novel as I had hoped. I found it somewhat difficult to even finish the book. Nobody really falls in love until the end, then the book leaves you hanging. Its more of a story about a family and how they become close with the deceased husband of Sybillas sister Honoria's family. I found this book to be actually a little annoying.

I enjoyed this book. From the back cover. "He awakened her darkest suspicions...Sybilla Smethwick cannot help but feel protective of her older sister, Honoria, who upon the tragic death of her husband Henry was left alone to raise her son. So when Sybilla hears that Henry's brother Augustus, the ninth Earl of Ampthill, has recently returned from India and desires to meet them, she is distrustful of his motives. Why after seven years of ignoring Honoria's and little George's very existence, should this no=doubt arrogant aristograt appear now?"
