A fairly routine HP in terms of female character and her particular situation - i.e., she's a young woman who's sacrificed a university education to look after her widowed father, and now works a dead-end job with a witch boss putting her down. Enter Jago, handsome, rich, ex-rock star with a scandalous reputation (undeserved), who gives her a job and just enough attention to keep her wondering. It's not a horribly written story, as far as HP's go, but the tired old Cinderella aspects; the heroine's being the last-one-to-know as far as the hero's true colors, and stock subcharacters like the heroine's witchy boss and her son, keep this story pinned down instead of romantically soaring.
