Fenelon's writings and letters are simple, thought provoking, and sometimes so powerful that you want to stop reading to meditate on a specific phrase or thought. Whereas most Christians and Christian writers may make seeking God a mysterious and daunting task, Fenelon shows you how to approach God by understanding yourself - and the lessons that He tries to teach you. So simplistic that it shines as what it is - messages from God by one of his close friends. Fenelon aims to prepare you for the journey of not only drawing close to God and becoming a friend of God, but by giving Him your life by putting what He wants ahead of what you want. Try it.
