I listed a wish list book and it was requested today with the following conditions:

I am not willing to receive books that have been in a home with elephants loose in the living room, tigers with urinary problems and chimpanzees that throw books at each other. Other than that, I'll take them however I can get them as long as you can still read them.

FANTASTIC! I laughed and applauded. :D

Have you ever run across a gem like this, or just the usual "No smoke, no pets" etc.? This was a first for me.

I'd write back and say this meet srequester's conditions, however if you would've said feral hamsters that drag books around; well then we would've had a problem

There was one once (and I'm not sure it fits here, but thought it was funny) - they didn't want books that people had read in the bathroom. Like how are you going to kinow?  LOL. Pat

laugh I'd have to decline that condition since I read most of my books in the bathtub!

That's funny - understandable, though. I get that there could be a "yuck" factor if you get a used book that someone read while, um, doing their business....

Books from non-smoking homes always cracks me up. I get that they mean cigarette smoking -but I always think - well my house is not on fire or smoking, so it must be okay:)
