A little girl cannot understand why her father and grandmother have turned away from her. They used to have so much fun together. Now Daddy calls and she refuses to speak to him because he doesn't want to see her anymore. She promised to be good. What did she do wrong? But help is on the way. This was a charming, funny Christmas themed thriller about two thugs with a deep devotion to their mama, a father and grandmother forced into the Witness Protection Program and the forlorn little girl left behind. Sterling Brooks has been waiting around just outside Heaven's gates for almost 50 years. Although he hasn't been a Scrooge, he has been neglectful of his fellow human beings and a council of angels decide to send him to earth to try and redeem himself by helping someone in need. He finds the little girl. Can he reunited her with her father and grandmother in time for Christmas?
I enjoyed this book an great deal. It was easy to read and it allowed me to mentally escape into a world of possibilities. It has increased my faith in something I already believe... that there is a God who is watching and taking care of us, and an unseen world that is constantly influencing our lives.
