At my Walmart today, they had 3 freestanding displays of adult paperbacks for 1.99 in the book department.  There were a lot of paranormal romance - Nina Bangs, Marjorie Liu, LJ McDonald, Deborah LeBlanc., Katie MacAlister, and many more. Also had some other genre's, but it seemedl like well over half was paranormal.

Naturally, it wasn't the latest releases. But still - some pretty good books and a nice selection.

You might check your local store to see if they are also doing this.

I seen this the other day at my local Walmart. They had some really interesting choices! Good deal!

I know that Marjore M Liu has some books that have been rereleased under the Avon print.  Maybe that is what is happening with these books.  Sounds like a great deal to me.  :)

Most of the 1.99 books at Wal-Mart in the big boxes are from Dorchester who, at this time, seem to have a problem paying their authors.  Several are encouraging a boycott and articles state authors will not likely see a dime from those purchases.  Just thought I'd post the info for anyone interested.

Here's a link from a Google news article.

Oh but they did have great books I bought several.  They had Shadow Bound and Shaow Fall these were just realased last year by Erin Kellison which I bought and Taste of Magic, Stoke of Magic, Breath of Magic which are also great book.  I couldn't pass up buying some Nina Bangs also but we didn't get Marjore M Liu.
