I have a book to send to a friend, we also lend each other kindle and nook books. I have printed out a list of my kindle and nook books to send to her. My question is can I put the book in with the list and mail it media mail????

Guessing here, but that will probably be considered personal communication. IIRC you can include the list, and merely add an additional First Class stamp to the package. But check with one of the postal employees for sure.

The postal worker at my post office said that when mailing media mail, you can't include anything but the item. If you include anything else, you have to pay for it like what Denise said, you'd add a first class stamp. You could take the risk but if they inspect it, you or the recepient could be subject to the extra charge.
