I never had any contact with this person, and I was requesting the book for the school library my sister works at. Is this something that should be reported to PBS?

I don't know about reporting it to TPTB, but what difference should it make whether you had 2 or 100 copies of the book and wanted another one?  You could want it for a reading group, or as you said, for your sister's library?  It's your credit to spend any way you want.  Good luck. Pat

Perhaps they had been in communication with someone else and mistakenly cancelled your order. It would come off their shelf when they cancelled since it wasn't in response to an RC.  I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and not worry about it. Unless it's a rare book that is never posted, then maybe contact PBS so they can let her know you still want it so she can re-post it.

Was your order WL? You're still first in line so you'll be next up when another copy is posted.

If not and it's a regular order then your order should roll over to the next person who has it on their shelf.

Most likely they confused your order with someone else. Nothing to report.
