Just wondering what the procedure was after someone marked a book received "sender damaged". I always thought the sender got the credit anyway, but then both the sender and receiver were obligated to discuss the matter from there. If the sender agrees that the book was unpostable, then s/he should refund the credit. I am concerned as I checked my transaction archive for something else, then saw that a book I sent was marked damaged. I believe I know what was somewhat questionable, as I had received the book from another PBS member and checked the guidelines and FAQ both when marking the book received (without a problem) and when posting the book -- the book fell well within the guidelines. IIRC, I posted the book well before it was requested, and the "problem" did not occur to me until I had the book ready to send, but at that point, I didn't want to wait for a response as I was practically on my way to the post office. The book is not in my credit registry, so I know I did not receive credit for it. I have received neither any emails nor club communications regarding this book, so this comes at a surprise to me right now. However, this was almost two months ago, so I guess I'm going to have to eat the credit, and forget about posting books that are moderately "questionable". |

If the recipient marked the book Received with a Problem, then you would have gotten the credit for it. The only way you could have NOT gotten the credit is if the book was lost in the mail/they never marked the book received.

the credit registry only goes back so far (maybe 60 days?) and if it was before that then you wouldn't see it in your credit history. As Rhonda said, if they marked it RWP then you did get your credit. They may have decided it wasn't worth hassling over or didn't know they could request their credit back |

IF they never marked it received they need to be reported for not doing so. |

From the Registry: "Below is a listing of all credit actions with your account in the last 2 months." So, if the transaction was "almost two months ago" maybe it was actually "a little over two months ago"? In which case, it wouldn't show in your credit registry anymore. They had to have marked it rec'd, otherwise it couldn't be mark Received with a Problem "sender damaged". And if they marked it rec'd, you got your credit. They simply didn't ask for it back. |
