Hi! I requested some books from a member on the 29th of June. The details of this order says "Will mail by: 7/6/2009", but it is already July 8. What should I do about this? Should I be patient and wait, or perhaps send a PM to this member, reminding her that she still needs to send my books? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

You can send a PM asking if she forgot to mark them as being mailed, or you can just wait and if she doesn't mark them,  they'll roll over to the next person "in line" to be sent out.

Sorry it's taking so long to get books you requested on your very first day! Most people are much quicker. But you should do nothing. The sender has a 2 day grace period to click the button. If she doesn't mark the books mailed by tonight, your requests will be forwarded along to the next members who have posted them.

Whatever you do, don't cancel the requests. If you cancel, then the sender's books will go back to the front of the line and when you re-request them, your request will go right back to her. If you let the requests time-out, then the sender's books are removed from the system and your requests will be passed on.

I received a book on Monday that was never marked mailed(It had been sent on 6/29)Had to go to my transaction record to mark it received, which I did because there were no other copies so it didn't 'roll over' to another member. I was really happy to get it as it was on my WL since I joined.

Thanks, everyone! I requested two books from the same person, and one book has many copies, and the other book has only one copy, so I really hope that this member will still send that book to me. I've decided to send her a PM. If she doesn't send me the book that has only one copy in the system, what will happen? Will the book go back to my reminder list and I'll have to order it from her again?

I would PM since it looks like it's going to timeout. If she mailed them out and just forgot to mark it mailed you could end up with 2 copies of the one book. Now technically you wouldn't have to give the 1st person a credit. But you should at least try to prevent getting a duplicate.  They may have just forgotten to click mailed. I did this the other day. I mailed books in the morning and didn't remember until that evening to mark them mailed.  They were no where near timing out.  I was even on the sight off and on all day and still forgot.

She will automatically get reminders from PBS so I wouldn't PM her.....

"Will the book go back to my reminder list and I'll have to order it from her again?"  No, her books will be removed from the system and your book will roll over to the next person...if there is not another copy of the book then it will go back on your WL.
