This is true Story during WW1. Stubby was an extremely smart dog. At the begin of the war the young recruits were training at Yale University. Stubby smelled the young men and food and being homeless he joined the recruits and he was a hit with the young soldiers and their leaders. Stubby made it to the boat and got on with the men. Stubby bonded with a young soldier Robert Conroy and they were inseparable.Stubby saved American soldiers lived and he detected the living from the dead American soldiers. He hated the German soldiers. Stubby also helped morale by befriending hundreds of American soldiers and loving them when they were down. And yes Stubby made it back from the war. Dogs and cats love us with unconditional love, plus they can be very smart and savvy as was Stubby.
