I picked up this book because it had such great reviews. I hated it! After struggling to stay awake through long winded descriptions the characters (that were well developed) made me hate them. I do not feel pity for these characters as I suppose the writer would want you to feel. Instead, I feel a few need their heads flushed. The poetry between the lines was the only thing worth reading.

Don't read this if you want to read a comfortable, upbeat book...but do read it if you want to explore how a young girl's strange relationship with her mother marks her whole life.
