Like any book that also has a movie out, this is much better! Reads like a fast paced fiction adventure, but with a voice of authority telling the tale.

Was an interesting history of Haiti snd the French colonization. The voodo storyline kind of lost me after a while. Hate to say it but I probably enjoyed the film better.
