I found it very interesting. The fact that it was based on true events made it more enjoyable.

Beautiful gift copy! In England there is a huge difference between the rich and poor. The poor or servants worked 7 days a week as many hours as needed for a small salary with one day a month off. The poor kids left school about 13 years old to spend their life in service to the rich. The only way to move up was marriage and that was taboo. One servant girl did it and she and her rich husband were miserable. They had nothing in common. Although, the major part of this book was written prior to WW2, the disparate circumstances till make a wild gulf between England's rich and poor.
