An M.D. psychotherapist teams up with a novelist (to make the prose very readable), to walk you through the typical major sources of tension in marriages and examine whether yours in particular are solvable. I found it very helpful...in realizing my own could not be solved. The seven are: gender socialization issues, loyalties to others outside the marriage (family, friends, etc), money (big duh there), power, sex, privacy, and children. Not going to fix everything, but sure helpful in getting a handle on what's going on.
